Phishing Takedown

Epsilon InfoTech offers a comprehensive multi-pronged response strategy for phishing attacks against your organization.
Once a phish is reported and confirmed, Epsilon InfoTech shall commence its takedown actions. Epsilon InfoTech shall fraudcast the URL to ensure it is blocked on these major systems.

  • Major email services providers such as Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail
  • Major browser providers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome
  • Major toolbar providers such as Google, Netcraft, Yahoo etc.

Fraudcasting ensures that the spread of phish is stopped and customers are alerted automatically through their browsers before visiting the phishing site.

The takedown response consists of a specific methodology, procedures, scripts, contact methods, translation services, and escalation procedures. These are supported by our specialized tools and databases. Persistence and procedures are
the keys to our success in takedowns. Once an attack is confirmed, steps are taken depending on the type of attack and location. Cease and Desist notices may be sent to multiple contacts in an attempt to obtain a response. Depending on specified policies, the geographic location and previous Epsilon InfoTech experience with the ISP, up to 72 hours may be spent on the shutdown process.
